How to reach us in winter

About one hour from the Polar circle and only 15 minutes from the Baltic Sea, You’ll find our unique Teepee shaped building that’s called the Lappkåtan. This is our main building and restaurant where we come together and serve breakfast and dinner. In front of the Lappkåtan we do have a free parking lot for our guests.

Sweden is known for well formed roads in winter. The snow is regularly cleared to keep the roads in good condition. To get to us from the airport you only need main roads that lead through some beautiful scenery and give you the chance to see some reindeer. Between October 1 and April 15, it is mandatory to drive with winter tires throughout Sweden. Rental cars are equipped with this. Often rental cars are also equipped with engine heaters, which you can connect at some parking spaces.

You can rent a car at the airport for your trip. It’s a perfect opportunity to discover the city before driving into the countryside of the winter wonderland. Because we are a small-scale company that focuses on the personal Lapland experience, we give you the freedom to further explore the beautiful nature.

Driving in Lapland can give you opportunities to spot road crossing elk and reindeers so drive carefully. If you see a black garbage bag or fluorescent vest hanging along the road, this is a sign that you should slow down, this is a point where reindeer or moose often cross the road.

Enjoy your trip and the winter magic of Swedish Lapland.
