    You will sleep two nights in our Arctic Glamping in the middle of nature. Every tent has it’s private shower and dry toilet. During the day you will discover what Swedish Lapland has to give during the autumn. We provide warm blankets in the tents, be aware it can be colder at night in september.

    The Ruska season is known for it’s beautiful autumn colors, lingon berries and breathtaking nature views.

    Tour Details

    This tour is perfect to discover the autumn of Swedish Lapland in a few days. In autumn ( Augustus – September ) you will experience the Ruska season, well known for the beautiful colors our region has to give during autumn. 

     Glamping

    You will have a close by nature experience and sleep in a Glamping tent in nature with it’s own bathroom (in the main building). The tents are equipped with a comfortable double bed, 2 lounge chairs, carpets and a closet. Bedsheets, towels and shampoo are included.

     Activities

    During your stay you will have a beautiful Husky walk in the forests, you will learn about the berries and mushrooms of the season and where to find them. Discover the hiking trails in the forests.

    What to Expect

    Close by the border of Swedish and Finnish Lapland you’ll find the Lappkåtan of Långforsen. With our Summer and Autumn packages you are able to discover the active and eatable forests of Swedish Lapland. In our 2 nights Ruska package we include a Husky walk, a berry and mushroom picking course and a full equipped hike in the forests.

     Included Spa

    With our Glamping you are free to swim in the river and to use the hot tub or sauna (when it is heated by us). Looking forward to our spa facilities? Please inform yourself on arrival when we plan to heat the hot tub and sauna during your stay. Optional you can opt for the Finnish smoke sauna.

    Breakfast is always included as well as dinner, lunch is included on day 2.

    Schedule

    Day 1Arrival / Berry picking

     

    We will welcome you at our reception for your check-in.

    You are always welcome for a drink in the bar or go for a walk. Extra optional activities are also available on site.

    1.2 Berry / Mushroom picking course

    Today we go on a hike in the forests of Swedish Lapland to look for the best places to pick berries / mushrooms. Depending on the season we will find cloudberries, blueberries, lingonberries, chanterelles,…

    You will learn more about these berries / mushrooms and what you can make with it. 

    During summer this is the perfect activity to experience a long golden hour.

    The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

     

    Day 2Husky walk

    After breakfast we visit a local in the neighbourhood. We’ll go for a walk with our new four-legged friends in the nature of Swedish Lapland. After the walk you will have some time to make pictures with the dogs. 

    2.1 Hike in the forests

    In the afternoon we provide you a map of the hiking trails in the forests, a compass and some bushcraft skills to go on a hike. Make use of the long days and walk on your own pace.

    2.2 Fishing

    Hop on with Simon on the boat and try to catch a fish in the Sangis river. You can fish on the floating deck or from land as well. In our river you can find perch and pike. Some locals come to the nearby rapids to catch big pike.

    The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

     

    Day 3Check-out

     

    After an unforgettable trip in Swedish Lapland it’s time to say goodbye. The room check-out is till 11 AM. During the day you can enjoy some free time at our place or choice for an optional activity.
