Experience Lapland | 4 days

We will be waiting for you at the airport of Rovaniemi. Once we have made our introduction, we are headed to Santa and his winter village. Here you can walk around and cross the Arctic Circle! But of course, you can also meet the man himself! (Visit to Santa Claus village depends on flight times)

In case you arrive in Luleå Airport the visit to Santa Claus village and Arctic circle crossing will be replace by the frozen sea experience or a visit to the Unesco Heritage Gammelstad Churchvillage. (Depending on flight times)

With the frozen sea experience you get the opportunity to discover the frozen baltic sea by kicksled on an ice track. When there is time left you will visit the Unesco Heritage old churchvillage Gammelstad.

1.1 Arriving at Långforsen

Now it is time to head to our traditional Långforsen Lappkåtan where you will be guided to your room to unpack and come to rest after your flight.

You are always welcome for a drink in the bar or go for a walk. Extra optional activities are also available on site.

The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

After breakfast we drive to a local reindeer herder in Tornedalen. You will be given a tour of the reindeer corral where the reindeer herder will tell you about the reindeer and reindeer herding. They give you the chance to spoil the reindeer with their favorite candy from the forest. Test your skills in throwing a lasso before a Swedish-Sámi fika over an open fire.

After saying goodbye to the sweet reindeer, we drive back through the beautiful nature of the border of Swedish and Finnish Lapland.

2.1 Snowshoeing

Try out snowshoeing. We will drop you off at a ski and snowshoe trail, there you can chose to do the small tour in a circle or the long tour 2-3H to the top of the villages most known hill and back.

The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

After breakfast we give you a quick course on how to drive a snowmobile. After the course you will discover the beautiful forests of Swedish Lapland by snowmobile. There is a good chance that you will spot reindeer or moose on your way. The snowmobile tour is private in your own company with a guide. (A driver’s license B is required to drive a snowmobile). After a Swedish fika you return to Långforsen.

Once back you have some time to enjoy a warm cup of coffee or tea and play boardgames, relax or chose for an optional activity.

After an unforgettable trip in Swedish Lapland we will drive you back to the airport in Finland. We will provide you if needed an early breakfast depending on your flight time. If you’re flight is later in the day you can enjoy some free time at our place or make a walk in the village.
