Icy Adrenaline | 8 days

We will be waiting for you at the airport of Rovaniemi (2h driving), Kemi (1h driving) or Luleå(1h30 driving) where you arrive.

Today it’s all about relaxing!

2.1 Brunch
In the morning you can read a book or play board games at the lounge of långforsen Lappkåtan or have a morning walk with the sunrise. At 10:00 we’ll serve you a delicious brunch.

2.2 Mini course “How to make a campfire”

We will teach you how to make a successful fire and how to maintain it.

2.3 Snowshoeing trip

After brunch, we can first drop you off on a good place for snowshoeing.
We will learn you about the Swedish ‘Friluftsliv’ (outdoorlife) and teach you some good-to-know survivalskills.

You will know everything about how to make a fire for the right occasion and some handy tips to start a fire.
While snowshoeing we are surrounded by silence, the only sound you can hear is the wind, wildlife and the cracking of the snow under your feet. This is the best occassion to take time and look out for wildlife.

2.4 Wilderness Spa 

After an intense hike you can relax in our wood-fired sauna by the river.

Connected to the Swedish wood fired sauna, there is an extra relax room to change clothes and have some drinks and snacks by the stove.

Optionally, you can choose for our Finnish smoke sauna. (This is a unique experience in a black and dark wood fired sauna. This sauna has no chimney and needs more than 5 hours to warm up and get rid of the smoke through the door and windows.)

The 2 saunas are located by the river and the campfire on a quiet spot in nature. We provide some included snacks at the sauna, as well as sauna towels. You can order some optional drinks in the bar to take with you.

The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

( please note: at extreme temperatures {colder than -15°C} the sauna is not guaranteed to reach the optimal temperature. In this case, we will replace this activity with an equivalent activity.)

Today we take you on a snowmobile experience trip.

We will start with the introduction course on how to ride and handle the snowmobile as well as the rules and tips and tricks. This is extensive guided tour through different terrain.

Depending on your level of snowmobiling, we will adapt to more difficult routes to guarantee the best experience! 

Due to us running the snowmobile activity, we can adapt to you. If you like to ride faster for the adrenaline or slower to enjoy the scenery. 

We ride with 2 people on 1 snowmobile. Due to the duration of the trip, there are plenty of possibilities to switch during the tour.

The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

4.1 Husky sleigh-ride

After breakfast you meet the husky’s which will take you on a sleigh ride in the forests of Swedish Lapland. During the sleigh ride you will only hear the huskies and nature while moving at a fast pace through the frozen forest.

After the activity you will enjoy a traditional local lunch.
Enjoy a free afternoon where you can take a walk in nature, have a nice warm drink in our Lappkåtan or do attend to a complementary activity.

4.2 Movie Night

The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant followed by a Movie Night on a big screen with snacks to choose from and an included drink.

5.1 Ice breaker cruise

Today you’ll go on a 3 hours during Ice breaker cruise.

Located on only 15 minutes from Långforsen there is the famous Ice breaker cruise which they call one of the most arctic experiences. Go on board and feel the ice cracking. Learn more about the cruise by an audio guide. Walk on the Baltic sea or if you dare, float in the icy water with a floating overall.

This super exclusive activity will be an unforgettable experience!

Today you meet Peter.
He’s going to learn you all the technics to control a vehicle on ice or snow in the forests or on his professionally prepared ice circuit on the lake (depending on the weather and ice conditions).
You will accompany him in a rally car. Even if you’re not a big car fan, this activity is fun and adrenaline guaranteed.

We will leave after breakfast to one of the local ski slopes in Swedish or Finnish Lapland.  When we arrive, you will be able to rent skis, a snowboard or other needed equipement by the ski rental, ski rental and ski pass is included!

After an unforgettable trip in Swedish Lapland we’ll drive you back to the airport.

If you have a later flight this would be the day to pack your luggage.

Check-out of the rooms is at 11:00 (There is the possibility to store your luggage in our luggage room after check-out.)

When the timing and weather conditions are right, we can go and look at the magical Aurora Borealis. We go out and hunt for the perfect viewing location on the river.

The perfect opportunity to get a stunning photo.

Since Långforsen is located near the Arctic Circle, we have a good chance of witnessing strong dancing northern lights!
