Ever wanted to ride a snowmobile into the Swedish Landscape, or wanted to meet Rudolph the reindeer and go on a husky sleigh ride?

    With Långforsen you will be at the right place! We make it our goal to give you the most magical experience possible.

    We offer personal tours in your own company, in private accommodation up to 4 persons. Our goal is to give you and your family or friends an unforgettable experience on your own pace in Swedish Lapland. For most of our activities, you will be doing this in private in staid of being a part of a bigger group.

    Tour Details

    This tour is perfect to do all the typical Lapland activities in one magical weekend. You will start off meeting Santa in it’s nice and cosy winter village. On the way to our traditional LappKåtan ( the traditional Sami building ) you will have the time to get a first glimpse of the wonderful snow covered landscape while we tell you about the culture and the area.

    The following days you will go on a husky tour, meet the reindeer and Sami, go on a snowshoe walk, a snowmobile tour, Aurora Safari, ice fishing,…

    What to Expect

    Close by the border of Swedish and Finnish Lapland you’ll find the Lappkåtan of Långforsen. With our packages you are able to cross the border and discover the best of both countries. In our 3 nights package we include a Husky sleigh ride, a snowmobile tour and much more that Lapland has to explore. Beside the adventure you will be able to relax in our Kåtan (bar & restaurant) and in our Wilderness Spa. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included during your stay.

    Day 1Arrival in Rovaniemi, Finland & meeting Santa


    We will be waiting for you at the airport of Rovaniemi. Once we have made our introduction, we are headed to Santa and his winter village. Here you can walk around and cross the Arctic Circle! But of course, you can also meet the man himself!

    1.1 Arriving at Långforsen

    Now it is time to head to our traditional Långforsen Lappkåtan where you will be guided to your room to unpack and come to rest after your flight.

    You are always welcome for a drink in the bar or go for a walk. Extra optional activities are also available on site.

    1.2 Snowshoeing

    we can drop you off on a good place for snowshoeing or you can start at Långforsen. You will get the right instructions on how to walk with snowshoes. It is up to you and your own pace, because snowshoeing can be quite intensive.

    The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

    ( Be aware that the visit to Santa Claus village is depending on your flight times, for advise please contact us )

    Day 2Snowmobile tour ( 3 Hours ) & Reindeer Visit

    After breakfast we discover the beautiful forests of Swedish Lapland by snowmobile. There is a good chance that we will spot reindeer or moose on our way. The snowmobile tour is private in your own company with a guide. (A driver’s license B is required to drive a snowmobile). After a campfire coffee stop we return to Långforsen. 

    2.1 Reindeer Visit

     

    In the afternoon we drive to a local reindeer herder. You will be given a tour of the reindeer corral where the reindeer herder will tell you about the reindeer and reindeer herding. They give you the chance to spoil the reindeer with their favorite candy from the forest. Test your skills in throwing a lasso before a Swedish-Sámi fika over an open fire.

    After saying goodbye to the sweet reindeer, we drive back through the beautiful nature of the border of Swedish and Finnish Lapland.

    The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

     

     

    Day 2Husky sleigh-ride ( 1,5 Hours )

    We start the day with a delicious breakfast in our Kåtan where you get the opportunity to try on the thermal overalls for the activities. After breakfast you go on a Husky sleigh ride in the forests of Swedish Lapland. After the activity you will enjoy a lunch prepared with local products.

    The evening ends with dinner in the restaurant.

     

    Day 4Transfer to Rovaniemi Airport

      

    After an unforgettable trip in Swedish Lapland we will drive you back to the airport in Finland. We will provide you if needed an early breakfast depending on your flight time. If you’re flight is later in the day you can enjoy some free time at our place or make a walk in the village.

    + Aurora Hunt

    When the timing and weather conditions are right, we can go and look at the magical Aurora Borealis. We go out and hunt for the perfect viewing location, this can be by car, snowmobile and sleigh, walk, … .

    The perfect opportunity to get a stunning photo.

    Since Långforsen is located near the Arctic Circle, we have a good chance of witnessing strong dancing northern lights!

    ( There is a big chance you can see it during your stay. However, this can never be guaranteed )
