By snowmobile we will drive to a remote lake surrounded by forest. This lake is known for a good amount of bass fish.
We prepare a campfire at the hut, and you will make your hole at your desired fishing spot where you will be taught the basics of ice fishing while taking our time and enjoying a hot cup of coffee while waiting for a catch.
Halfway we will pack our gear and head to a second spot to try our luck!
After a traditional Swedish campfire lunch and a good day of fishing, we return to Långforsen.

This is a combination of the half day tour and a half day snowmobile tour.
We are driving by snowmobile to Kalix to go and fish on a sport ice fishing lake. Here they put extra fish, so the chance of catching is almost guaranteed!
Hereafter we will continue by driving on the frozen sea! This is a beautiful scene with flat ice and a great experience.
This is a very long tour so beware you dress warm enough. You will experience true Swedish culture and mix in with the local people who would do this on their weekends.

If you booked the 5h snowmobile tour separate or if it is included in your package, you can extend this activity with the half day ice fishing tour. This will transform your snowmobile tour into a full day ice fishing by snowmobile excursion.
( Depending on the schedule, only extendable if it can be added after the planned 5h snowmobile tour )

Full day ice fishing by snowmobile excursion
• Minimum 2 people
• Driver license B ( for the driver )
• Minimum age: 18 ( for the driver )
• Completion of snowmobile introduction course ( this course is given when attending the snowmobile tour activity )
• Warm gloves ( Mittens / fingerless gloves are not allowed to control the snowmobile )
• Undergloves ( Extra layer for underneath your regular gloves )
• Boots or watertight shoes
• Double socks ( if this fits in your shoes. Note: Don’t pack your socks to tight since they will lose their isolation effect )
• Double layered pants / ski pants ( it is good to have a pants with an inner layer which you can put in your shoes )
• Scarf
• Balaclava ( Langforsen provides clean ones to use. These are for warmth and hygiene )
• Snowmobile Helmet ( Langforsen provides these )
• There is no toilet during this trip, make sure you go beforehand
• In winter, due to the cold, the activity of the fish is lower than in summer. This means that there is a chance we will return empty-handed. However, ice fishing is not only about the catch but also about the experience.
• This is the perfect chance to experience the quiet nature of Lapland in its white landscape.
